Take Action

Sport Matters is an expression used to say we care about the future of sport in Canada and from time to time we have come together to act. It has become evident that people participate in Sport Matters activities for three common reasons.
- To do something good for sport and physical activity
- To exercise some leadership
- To influence public policy

Here’s how you can take action:

- Identify a particular kind of contribution you wish to make; a certain expertise you can make available, time available for advocacy work, research knowledge, helping with the website or communications within the sport and physical activity sector, financial or in-kind contribution.  Find a group to contribute to here...
- Become a Friend of Canadian Sport – simply by putting your name and coordinates on the list of Friends who will be kept informed of Sport Matters activities, and who get involved in activities they chose.

-
Form or become part of a local network of people interested in future campaigns, especially those that have a local impact or involve local politicians
